SINCE 2022
We are the first women’s team of FC Viktoria 1889 Berlin – taken over by a female founding team in summer 2022 and independently operating since then. Run like a start-up, we aim to take an unconventional and innovative path in German football.
WE ARE INDEPENDENT AND NOT THE SECONDARY TEAM TO THE MEN. OUR GOAL, BEYOND SPORTING SUCCESS, IS TO DRIVE INNOVATION AND CHANGE IN GERMAN FOOTBALL AND HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACTON OUR SOCIETY.

Takeover 1st Women’s Team
Ariane Hingst, Felicia Mutterer, Katharina Kurz, Lisa Währer, Tanja Wielgoß and Verena Pausder take over the leadership of the women’s team, as the 1st women’s team is spun off into a separate company.
JULY 2022
Building the Investor Network
Kick-off: 87 investors take the first step with us and invest one million euros. Franziska van Almsick takes over as Chair of the Supervisory Board.
First Top Sponsors
With Stepstone as main sponsor and many others like BRLO, Douglas and Lupp & Partner, we kick off our first season.
AUGUST 2022
Kick-Off 2022/23 Season
Start of the first season in the Regionalliga Nord-Ost.
NOVEMBER 2022
Foundation Launch
With the FC Viktoria Berlin Foundation, we collect donations and support organisations that are actively committed to our mission of equal opportunities in football.
First Live TV Broadcast of
a Regionalliga Match
Sport 1 broadcasts a match live from Lichterfelde between FC Viktoria Berlin and Türkiyemspor, reaching up to 400,000 viewers. (wasn’t it just under 200,000?)
MAY 2023
Contract with Nike
We sign a multi-year deal with Nike and even manage to get them to equip the men’s teams as well.
1,5 Billion
Media Impressions
After just 10 months, we reach 1.5 billion media impressions across both German and international press.
Championship and
Berlin Cup
We secure the championship and prepare for the play-offs against HSV. At the time, only one team from the two northern Regionalligas could be promoted.
JUNE 2023
Play-off Defeat but
in a Packed Stadium
Unfortunately, we lose the play-off against HSV – but we did it in front of 3,600 fans in a sold-out Lichterfelde!
Investor Network grows
Despite the play-off defeat, our network keeps growing. 94 new investors join to support us financially on our journey. We’re now 181 strong – with 70 percent women.

Kick-Off 2023/24 Season
We kick off our second season with enhanced professionalisation of contracts, training conditions and the technical team.
NOVEMBER 2023
Launch
Game Changer Club
With the Game Changer Club, we launch a membership that carries our mission beyond our own team – for more impact in women’s football across Germany.
MAI 2024
2. Place in the Regionalliga
After a very strong season,
we finish 2nd behind Union Berlin, who get promoted to the 2nd Frauen-Bundesliga. On we go!
AUGUST 2024
Kick-Off 2024/25 Season
We head into the new season fully convinced that we’ll secure
promotion this time.
SEPTEMBER 2024
Investor Network grows
We grow our supporter network to 246 investors backing us on our path to promotion into the 2nd Frauen-Bundesliga.
MAI 2025
Championship and Promotion
We secure the championship early and achieve direct promotion into the 2nd Frauen-Bundesliga, followed by another Berlin Cup victory in June.
JUNI 2025
Season Finale Live on Sky
Sky broadcast our match against Dresden via the “Watch With” stream – an interactive format with fresh perspectives and live elements. On board: commentator Paul Häuser, Tabea Kemme, Maren Schiller, Imke Salander and Jonas Hummels.

Kick-Off 2nd Bundesliga
2025/26 Season
With further professionalisation, new player signings and a strong technical team, we kick off our first season in the 2nd Women’s Bundesliga.
NOV 2025
First US-American Investor in German Women's Football!
Monarch Collective, a women-led U.S. investment platform focused on women’s sports, becomes the strategic investor in FC Viktoria Berlin Women.
