In a first closing of our latest funding round, we have secured over €700,000 in fresh capital, expanding our network of strategic partnerships further in 2024. Following this successful capital increase, a total of 246 investors are now part of our community of supporters, sharing our vision for an equitable sports world and helping drive both our economic and athletic progress. Talks with additional potential investors are ongoing for a second closing in 2025. With 90% of our club’s ownership remaining in female hands, we are sending a powerful message for equal opportunities and diversity in German sports.
“It’s inspiring to see how many individuals and companies share our vision. This support enables us to further expand the infrastructure and care for our players, bringing us a big step closer to our goal of promotion to the Bundesliga,” explains our co-founder and shareholder, Verena Pausder.
Strong Network and Prominent Support
With both new and existing investors, including high-profile figures like Olympic champion Maria Höfl-Riesch, broadcaster Dunja Hayali, and entrepreneur and choreographer Nikeata Thompson, we’re gaining lots of support that extends beyond the realm of sports. Natascha Wegelin, known as "Madame Moneypenny," has also joined our investor community: “Equality and recognition for women in sports is long overdue. FC Viktoria Berlin is setting a great example of how change can be actively shaped. I’m excited to support the team both financially and personally.”
Aiming for Success – Promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in Focus
We’re currently undefeated in the ongoing Regionalliga season, with our sights firmly set on promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. The fresh capital will not only help boost athletic performance but also support the professional development of our player care and support systems.
“A Project with Social Impact”
The six founders — among them two-time world champion Ariane Hingst and the chairwoman of the German Startup Association, Verena Pausder — are committed to advancing not only women’s football but also establishing new role models and equality in sports. Since July 2022, we’ve been operating as an independent GmbH, seeing ourselves as a startup with a social mission. “We won’t give up — in fact, quite the opposite. Our goal is not only sporting success but also long-term social change,” Verena Pausder emphasizes. “Together with our supporters, we are ready for the next steps.”
