The women of FC Viktoria Berlin are repositioning their leadership for the next development phase: Co-founder Felicia Mutterer has taken over the operational management as of 1 April 2026. Lisa Währer, who has significantly built and shaped the club over the past four years, remains closely connected to FC Viktoria Berlin as co-founder and member of the newly created Advisory Board.

Since the takeover by the six-member founding team in 2022, FC Viktoria Berlin has developed from a regional league side into an ambitious second-division team and has at the same time established itself as an independent brand in German sport. Under the operational leadership of Lisa Währer, structures were professionalised, infrastructure was expanded, and promotion to the 2. Women’s Bundesliga was celebrated.
“I am proud of what we have achieved together over the past four years – both on the pitch and structurally. Now is the right time for a change of roles. In the newly created Advisory Board and as a shareholder, I will continue to closely support and drive forward the strategic development of FC Viktoria Berlin,” says Lisa Währer.
Focus on growth, partnerships and sustainable structures
In her new role, Währer will, together with the founding team, primarily support the collaboration with the US investor Monarch Collective. The women-led investment platform joined as a strategic partner in November 2025 and pursues the goal of sustainably strengthening women’s sport internationally.
With Felicia Mutterer, the woman takes over the management who, with her idea of a top Berlin club for women – driven by a strong network – laid the foundation for the new model in German women’s sport. The former broadcast journalist and entrepreneur will in future be particularly responsible for the expansion of strategic partnerships as well as sharpening the media and brand profile of FC Viktoria Berlin.
“Precisely because the market in women’s football is still developing, it requires courage, speed and strategic creativity. We want to develop sustainable revenue models and think sporting and economic success together. Above all, the goal is to win over even more people as co-creators and to actively help shape women’s football as a relevant market,” says Felicia Mutterer.
The next stage of development of FC Viktoria Berlin places a focus on the professionalisation of sporting infrastructures, the expansion of the community, own media formats as well as strengthening the economic foundation, with the clearly defined goal of sporting promotion to the 1. Women’s Bundesliga.

Voices on the change
Lisa Währer, Co-Founder and outgoing Managing Director: “After four years of intensive development work, the right time has come for me to change roles. FC Viktoria Berlin is facing the next big step: Bundesliga, profitability and scaling. All the more, I am pleased to be able to continue to accompany and support this development as a shareholder.”
Verena Pausder, Co-Founder FC Viktoria Berlin: “Lisa has led FC Viktoria Berlin through the first development phase with great clarity and energy and has created structures on which we can now continue to build. The fact that she will remain with the club as a shareholder is a great asset. At the same time, I am very pleased that Felicia is now taking on operational responsibility and initiating the next stage of development.”
Felicia Mutterer, Co-Founder and Managing Director FC Viktoria Berlin: “FC Viktoria Berlin is not a traditional football club – we are a platform. A place where socially relevant topics naturally take place and sport becomes part of pop culture. We combine this ambition with clear entrepreneurial action.”
About Felicia Mutterer

Felicia Mutterer is an entrepreneur and journalist with a clear mission: to advance professional women’s football in an economically and structurally sustainable way. For over ten years, the former sports presenter (SWR/rbb) has combined business with social impact.
With her journalistic instinct, she recognises topics at an early stage and connects what often remains separate: sport, business and pop culture. For her, football is not a stage for symbolism, but a platform for innovation, values and reliability.
