After the first leg was canceled and awarded 2-0 in favour of FC Viktoria, FCV was now able to welcome 1. FFV Erfurt to Stadion Lichterfelde. For both teams, there wasn’t much at stake anymore. FC Viktoria had already secured second place in the table, while Erfurt, who had long battled relegation, had recently escaped the danger zone.
Early Goal set The Victory In Motion
As expected, FC Viktoria Berlin was able to set the course for a victory early on under the bright sunshine. Anouk Dekker scored directly from the first corner of the game, less than six minutes after kick-off. Although the visitors from Erfurt fought back with all their power, the youngest team in the Region League Northeast couldn't stop the sky-blue players.
Newcomer at FC Viktoria since the winter, Leyila Aydin, extended the lead to 2-0 in the 22nd minute. Shortly after, Trinity Künzel, who had made a remarkable comeback in the last few matches after a long injury break, put two shots past goalkeeper Katja Groll within five minutes (22nd and 27th minute). Just before halftime, Nina Ehegötz added a fifth goal (41st minute).
Ehegötz Completes A Hat-trick
The second half began just as the first half had ended: with a goal from Nina Ehegötz. Our number 29 made a strong run down the flank and buried the ball in the net (46th minute). FC Viktoria continued to create good chances. Inga Buchholz in the sky-blue goal had to intervene only a few times, but it was never dangerously close.
Viktoria's offensive continued to apply pressure: Aydin increased the score to 7-0 in the 55th minute. Kim Urbanek also got to celebrate. With 16 goals now, she is FC Viktoria Berlin’ s top scorer. After Nina Ehegötz had already made her teammates cheer, she scored her third goal of the day in the 79th minute, capping off her excellent performance. Eunice Beckmann rounded off the score in the last second to make it 10-0.
In the penultimate game of the season, FC Viktoria Berlin delivered a dominant performance with a double-digit score. The last game of the season against Magdeburger FFC next Sunday (02.06.) will not only feature exciting football but also a great summer party to round off the season in style.
