FC Viktoria Berlin deliver a composed away performance against FC Bayern Munich II and reward themselves with a clear 3–0 victory. An early lead, long spells of control – and the final decision late on. A performance that truly delivers.
Early goal sets the tone
The match began rather cautiously, but Viktoria quickly found their rhythm. And then came the moment: in the 6th minute, Nina Ehegötz showed great determination and fired an unstoppable strike from the edge of the box into the net – a stunning goal, 1–0!
As the game progressed, it became increasingly intense. Bayern grew into the match and created occasional threats, but our defense stood firm. At the same time, Viktoria remained dangerous, creating chances and enjoying longer spells of possession. Despite the pressure and several attempts, the score remained a deserved 1–0 at halftime.
Patience pays off – and then clinical finishing
After the break, the game was initially balanced. Both teams managed to get shots away, but the clearer chances continued to fall to the Berlin side.
One thing stood out: Viktoria consistently looked to push forward – particularly through Ehegötz and substitute Victoria Ezebinyuo. However, the final touch was initially missing, or Bayern’s goalkeeper was there to deny them.
Then came the 74th minute: Pia Metzker powered down the left flank, cut inside, and fired from a tight angle – unstoppable, 2–0! A crucial moment in a phase where the game had slightly lost momentum.
In the closing stages, Viktoria stayed focused, remained solid defensively, and put the game to bed: deep into stoppage time, Katharina Krist curled a corner directly into the net – a spectacular goal to seal the 3–0 final score!
Conclusion & outlook
A composed and professional performance from our Viktoria: an early lead, defensive stability, and clinical efficiency at the right moments. The second-half substitutions also provided fresh energy and impact.
With this win, we consolidate our position in the upper half of the table, remain in 5th place, and – with just 19 goals conceded – continue to boast the best defense in the league.
