Starting the new season with a cup victory: In an exciting match, our FC Viktoria Berlin wins 2:1 (1:0) against VfL Bochum, thus advancing to the next round of the DFB-Cup.

Pleasant weather for football after some hot days, 1,400 spectators in the Lichterfelde stadium, and a great atmosphere: The conditions could hardly have been better for this DFB-Cup-Playoff between our Viktoria and VfL Bochum.

FCV got off to an equally good start and put Bochum under pressure early on. At first, it seemed as if Bochum's defense was unfazed, so calm did they appear – but after just six minutes, it proved to be different: A long ball reached our captain Nina Ehegötz on the left side of the box, who went to the baseline. Sarah Abu Sabbah and Leyila Aydin seemed a little far away in the center, but Bochum's Leana Zaugg took over the job for them and put the ball into her own net (7'). 1-0 for Viktoria!

FCV pressing pays off

However, our FCV did not rest after this dream start. They continued to push forward, putting pressure on the Bochum defense and creating several chances. Aydin's cross from the right just missed Ehegötz in the box, and Abu Sabbah's second attempt went well wide of the goal (15').

The Bochum players appeared increasingly nervous as time went on, creating few opportunities, such as a low cross from the left. However, Michelle Tschudin easily intercepted it (23'). Viktoria, on the other hand, began to show their magic: they nutmegged their opponents and danced around them cleverly, which was great fun to watch.

Until halftime, Bochum continued to struggle to find their composure, while Viktoria shone, especially through captain Ehegötz. However, there were no further goals, not even from Maya Hahn's long-range shot shortly before the break (43').

Bochum scores just after the break

So, it was time for the break – which seemed to last a little longer for our Sky Blues. Shortly after the restart, it took only a few seconds for Cecilia Way to find her way alone in front of the goal. The Bochum player intercepted a back pass from Anna Höfker, then dribbled past our goalkeeper Tschudin and slotted the ball into the empty net to make it 1-1 (46'). It was the start of an exciting second half.

Bochum now was clearly better engaged in the match, earning free kicks and corners (the latter of which they had not had in the first half). And even though our FCV was not quite as offensive as in the first half, there was no shortage of chances, with our captain Ehegötz involved time and time again. After just over an hour, it was she who, after a great ball control and cross from Sarah Klotz, missed the ball and thus missed the finish from a good position (63').

Joker Urbanek scores for FCV

Shortly afterwards, last season's top scorer (Ehegötz) was joined on the pitch by the second-best scorer: Kim Urbanek (64'). And it took her just three minutes to put Viktoria back in the lead: a high cross from Sarah Stöckmann found Urbanek's head, who placed the ball perfectly into the goal (67').

2-1 for Viktoria – the final score of this match, thanks in large part to our goalkeeper Tschudin. In the final minutes, VfL Bochum found some momentum, forcing Tschudin to make several saves (85', 87', 89'), but she and her teammates kept the ball out of the net.

So it's official: we've successfully made it through the playoffs and are now in the main round of the DFB Cup! This will take place from September 27-29, while the 2nd Bundesliga kicks off next week. On Sunday, August 24, we will be hosting SG 99 Andernach at the Lichterfelde Stadium at 2 p.m. Tickets are available here – come along and celebrate the start of the 2nd league with us!

For anyone managing a home network, understanding the router's administration area can be quite useful. The Cox router login gives users a starting point for accessing configuration settings and reviewing their wireless setup. Clear instructions are especially helpful for beginners because they can follow the process carefully, check available options, and avoid changing settings they do not understand.

The team's determination and performance were exciting to follow, and it's always great to see hard work rewarded. Using tools for membuat clipper is also a great way to turn the match's best moments into short, shareable highlight videos for fans.

Watching the Viktoria girls stage a dramatic comeback and turn the tide of a thrilling match is like the suspense of solving a tricky Quordle wordle puzzle – tense every step of the way, but bursting with joy when the winning answer is found!

From the start, Viktoria’s aggressive pressure forced mistakes, Escape Road 3 and the early own goal wasn’t just bad luck—it was the direct result of sustained attacking intent and forcing the opponent into uncomfortable defensive situations.
