Financial literacy plays a key role in women’s football too. According to a 2024 OECD study, women have, on average, less financial knowledge than men – especially when it comes to complex topics like compound interest or risk assessment. Nearly one in two women feel uncertain when it comes to financial matters (1). At the same time, a user study by Scalable Capital shows: once women start investing, they often act more consciously and are more likely to choose diversified investments such as ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) (2). Compared to men, this makes them better long-term investors.

This is exactly where our joint partnership comes in – addressing a long-overlooked topic: female finance. At FC Viktoria Berlin and Scalable Capital, we want to empower women not only in football but also on their journey towards financial independence. In addition to featuring on the shirt, the partnership will include content formats and educational initiatives designed to encourage women to take control of their finances and shape their financial futures with confidence.
