We are excited to welcome a new head coach to FC Viktoria Berlin: Miren Ćatović. The 35-year-old has signed a contract until summer 2026. Previously, the football coach spent two and a half years as the head coach of the women’s team at FC Ingolstadt. He now takes over from Dennis Galleski.
With Ćatović, we gain an experienced A-licence holder whose mission is to lead the team to promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga this season. The new head coach approaches this task with great enthusiasm: “I am deeply impressed by the ambitious direction of FC Viktoria Berlin, which perfectly aligns with my own commitment to always give my best. My goal is to promote continuous development at all levels within the club. For me, the priority is learning from one another, growing together as a united team, and achieving the club’s sporting objectives together.”

In managing training sessions, matches, the team’s sporting strategy, and individual development, Ćatović will work closely with Catharina Schimpf, the Sporting Director of FC Viktoria Berlin. Schimpf is optimistic about the new collaboration: “Miren brings valuable expertise from the 2nd Bundesliga and impresses with his vision of bold, dominant football. This aligns perfectly with our club’s philosophy. During an intensive selection process, he stood out not only for his game plan but also for his personal values and modern, team-oriented leadership approach, which will significantly drive the players’ development.”
